Challenge #1: Finding the Start-Up Money

One of the toughest entrepreneur challenges is that of coming up with startup money. Regardless of whether you are going to be an e-commerce business or you are going to have a location, you need money to get started. Much of this is not going to come from your own pocket, which means that you need to explore various loans and find investors that are going to help you.

Challenge #2: Creating the Business Plan

Many businesses close their doors every day because they have failed to create a business plan, or failed to create an effective one. When you create a business plan, a significant amount of research goes into it. You need to look at what you are creating, identify the need within the marketplace, know your competition, and identify yourself as unique. All of this needs to be written down, shared with your investors, and shared with all of your employees to become part of the culture that you ultimately focus on.

Challenge #3: Establishing a Brand

Establishing a brand can be complicated, but you will need to learn how to do so if you plan on being a successful entrepreneur. A brand identifies your business as unique and describes your personality as well as the driving force behind your business. Your brand needs to come through your employees, your marketing campaigns, your logo, and how you interact with your customers.

Challenge #4: Penetrating the Market

You may find it difficult to penetrate the market. One of the biggest ways to overcome this obstacle is to do plenty of research prior to entering the market so that you know that you have something different than what everyone else is offering.

Challenge #5: Competing with Other Businesses

Especially when you choose global commerce, you are going to compete with other businesses. This is what it is very important to have a brand established because you need to prove that you are different than others – and give people a reason why they need to choose you instead of the competition.

Challenge #6: Inability to Find Good People

It will be a constant struggle to find good people. When you have a strong culture in place, people will gravitate towards you, because they will find that you have a more exciting environment to offer and they will be more passionate about what it is that they do.

Challenge #7: Finding Time to Do it All

As an entrepreneur, you are going to find it difficult to do everything that you need to do (here are some inspirational quotes to keep you going). You have limited free time because you are so focused on trying to do everything on your own. You are responsible for the day-to-day operations, the finance, the marketing, management, and everything else. As soon as you learn to delegate and explore the various websites and programs that are available to help you do what you need to do, you can achieve greater levels of success.
