S. Manjula Jegasothy, MD, is in solo aesthetic practice at the Miami Skin Institute in the heart of Coral Gables. She specializes in nonsurgical Aesthetic Dermatology and has received numerous top-doctor awards from the press, colleagues, and her patients. As Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami Frost Department of Dermatology, Dr. Jegasothy contributes frequently to her Dermatology training program and lectures at medical conferences locally, nationally, and internationally several times a year. She received her Masters degree from Harvard/Radcliffe College and her medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Born in Sri Lanka and raised in Pennsylvania, Dr. Jegasothy follows in the footsteps of parents and grandparents who were all physicians. Dr. Jegasothy has been on the Editorial Panels for Aesthetic Dermatology and Skin & Aging for a number of years. She currently contributes original clinical articles frequently to top Aesthetic Medical journals such as Modern Aesthetics and Practical Dermatology, featuring her innovative aesthetic procedures and protocols. Most recently, Dr. Jegasothy was asked to serve on various task forces of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) and is a consultant for institutional investors and venture capital firms interested in the burgeoning aesthetic medical business arena. She has consulted for various pharmaceutical companies throughout the course of her career, is a frequent guest on local talk radio, and a source for expert quotes to reporters and journalists in local and national fashion press.
