Mere days after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clarified details regarding a separate Boar’s Head cheese recall comes word via a Monday night announcement from the agency that more cheese related to Boar’s Head is now voluntarily being recalled—only this time it’s due to the “potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes.”

In the FDA report, Supreme Service Solutions LLC, doing business as Supreme Deli, states it’s “assisting in a recall for items purchased from Boar’s Head Brand’s supplier of pecorino romano cheese.” The apparent supplier, Ambriola Company, is recalling two specific cheese items due to a possible bacterial contamination, identifying it as a Class I recall event due to its severity.

According to a company website, Ambriola is “the premier importer of the finest Cheeses from Italy since 1921.” A November 24 recall notice posted on the Boar’s Head website describes Ambriola as a supplier that produces “several products for a variety of different companies and brands, including Boar’s Head.”

The recalled items are:

Boar’s Head Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese, 6 ounces (oz)

  • Item Code: 858
  • Case UPC: 042421-05858
  • Sell-by Dates: 11/21/25 to 3/12/26

FS Grated Romano Cheese

  • Item Code: 15119
  • Case UPC: 042421-15119
  • Sell-by Dates: 11/21/25 to 3/12/26

The Boar’s Head website’s recall notice describes the 6-ounce size as being in a “retail cup” while the “FS” appears to be for “foodservice-sized bags.”

Though not mentioned in the Boar’s Head notice, the FDA also lists two EverRoast chicken caesar items as part of the larger cheese recall. The items were reportedly distributed to Kroger retail stores in two states: Indiana and Kentucky. The products are described as being in “clear-plastic grab-n-go containers of various sizes with the appearance of deli salads and wraps.” Provided details are:

EverRoast Chicken Caesar Salad

  • Barcode UPC: 850042244142
  • Best By Dates: 11/9/2025 to 11/22/2025

EverRoast Chicken Caesar Wrap

  • Barcode UPC: 85004224455
  • Best By Dates: 11/9/2025 to 11/22/2025

Additionally, out of caution, Boar’s Head says it’s withdrawing all Ambriola Company-produced products on behalf of Boar’s Head:

Pre-cut Pecorino Romano (7-ounce pre-cut wedge)

  • Item Code: 15160
  • Case UPC: 042421-15160
  • Sell-by Dates: 11/25/25-5/11/26

Boar’s Head notes that this is an “isolated incident” and no other Boar’s Head products “manufactured at any other facility are impacted by this recall.” Consumers are instructed to either discard the recalled cheese or return it to the original place of purchase for a full refund.
