Chelsea Handler has made a career out of being relatable—and that may be especially true when it comes to her beauty routine. The comedienne talked with us shortly after she turned 50 last February and insisted she’s low-maintenance—but there’s one brand that she says fits her fast-paced, high-adventure lifestyle.
After announcing her 2026 High and Mighty Tour, Handler spoke to us about her latest collaboration and how, at 50, she’s feeling more unstoppable than ever.

The Healthy: Last time we talked, you’d been skiing in a bikini to ring in a daring new decade. Tell us about your latest adventure.
Chelsea Handler: I want to be daring. I’ve worked really hard my whole life to have this lifestyle. When I found out [Gold Bond] was doing the Albuquerque International Balloon Festival, I’m like, Ah, that’s a me activity completely. Let’s do that. So it’s like going from one extreme condition of weather to the other—dry heat—which is to demonstrate how effective their new Gold Bond Collagen Body and Face Serum Lotion is. I can attest to that because I’m a hydration queen. I’m not high-maintenance with my makeup or skincare routine at all. Gold Bond has provided me with the right kind of regimen, which is simple, easy, and protects my skin and hydrates it.
The Healthy: You’re known for never taking life too seriously. How do you keep that going?
Chelsea Handler: Say yes to the things that scare you. I think fear is a big motivator. I don’t want to be fearful. If there’s a fear, I want to break through it, because there is no better feeling than being mindful about challenging yourself.
The Healthy: There are so many wellness trends out there, like cryotherapy, IV drips, red light therapy. Are there any you swear by, and any you’ve tried once and thought, Never again?
Chelsea Handler: I mean, I’ve tried everything. I’m not going to lie—I have a hyperbaric chamber in my house. That is something I think is amazing for you: what it does to your oxygenation and inflammation. It helps you sleep, it helps with mental clarity. But that’s obviously not very attainable; it’s not something people can just buy. It’s pretty serious. But I do have to say that it has changed my life. When I get off a plane and I get home, I hop into that. I just had surgery on my foot—I was in the hyperbaric chamber every day for three weeks, healing my foot.
As far as trends go, yes, I have a red light face mask. I use that occasionally. Am I diligent and use it every night? Absolutely not. My attitude is: try everything, and then the things that really make a difference, be more consistent with. But I don’t always have time to do all of it, and I definitely don’t have time to lug everything around with me since I’m always on tour and traveling for work.
The Healthy: How do you prioritize your physical health, your mental health, your overall well-being when you’re changing time zones for work and don’t have all your home comforts?
Chelsea Handler: I work out pretty religiously—I know the impact is immediate. So I’m pretty good about getting a workout in wherever I am in the world. If you feel exhausted and jet-lagged, you don’t need to work out. But if you do feel like it, just go for a walk. As soon as I land in a city, I typically go for a really long walk just to be outside, to absorb some real nature and real life. It is hard sometimes to find nature in certain cities, but it’s findable if you set your mind to it.
I do meditate, and I write. I have a little gratitude journal on my phone where I write, regardless of the news or bad things happening. To get up every day and find three things you’re grateful for—how are you going to carry yourself through the day? I find those rituals so much more beneficial than a serious skincare routine. For me, it’s about mental health. Mental health exudes through our body. When you’re happy and confident, you’re spreading that message to other people, and that’s important to me.
The Healthy: Absolutely. What projects should we have on our radar?
Chelsea Handler: I [have] announced my new stand-up tour, the High and Mighty Tour … it’s going to start in January. It’s all new material, all musings on my life and my travels. It’s very much me.
