Kristine has spent 20 years writing and editing health, medical, wellness and lifestyle content across digital media, magazines, and books for major publishers. As The Healthy's senior editor, she leads the team of writers and editors covering health-related consumer news, peer-reviewed clinical studies, advancements in medical treatment, and personal narratives about health conditions. She also curates content for The Healthy section of Reader's Digest magazine and The Healthy's Medical Review Board operations. She is a former certified group fitness instructor in yoga, Pilates, and indoor cycling and served as an elected director on the board of the Free Medical Clinic (DuBois, PA) as the fundraising chairperson. Krissy balances long hours at the computer with daily walks with her dog, a rescued mini Australian labradoodle, and mornings at the gym. She enjoys weekend visits to the farmers market and local botanical gardens with her husband, who is a physician leader for healthcare quality and equitable delivery of care for a national health system as well as a stage 4 cancer survivor. They live in the San Francisco Bay Area and maintain a residence in the Pennsylvania Wilds.
