Walmart Just Recalled a Great Value Product Sold in 30 States and Online

An alert reveals the recall was initiated after a customer discovered an issue that could affect consumers with two health conditions.
If you’re a fan of sweet and salty snacks, check your pantry for a product that has been recalled. On March 13, 2024, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall of a popular product sold at Walmart locations in 30 states and on Walmart.com.
The recall affects Great Value Honey Roasted Cashews which are produced by the company John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. The issue was discovered when a customer alerted Walmart to the presence of coconut in the product. Further investigation revealed that coconut cashews were mistakenly packed into certain honey-roasted cashew containers. Additionally, the coconut cashews contain undeclared milk. Both coconut and milk are major allergens for some individuals and could lead to life-threatening reactions if consumed.
The affected product was distributed via Walmart.com and retail locations in 30 states including Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, and West Virginia.
